Check out OFFLINE shipping, a free MAPICS product that allows you to write
your own front-end for pick/pack/ship. Using it I was able to completely
redesign the pick/pack/ship process to use bar-codes and quickly write
records into COM. It took less than a week of programming, but has worked
great, and it is 100% AS/400 based.

system which is directly attached to an AS/400 to record shipments to COM?
The products I know of require the use of a PC based data collection system.
