Vendor Item Comments on MRP Auto Release Purchase Orders

Has anyone ever encountered this issue before and how did you resolve it:

We are trying to auto release purchase orders from MRP for certain items.
 We are getting the PO's just fine - but we require the vendor/item comments
 pull over to the purchase order (mostly required quality comments).

MAPICS is saying the software is not designed to automatically pull the
 vendor/item comments on MRP auto released PO's.

Has anyone ever hit this wall and how did you handle it?  Any advise would be 
helpful.  We are starting an enhancement request - but those don't take care of 
my needs immediately.
