Bonnie,

Are you sure your used *FILEEND? It almost sounds to me like you used
*JOBEND. It would make sense that the report wouldn't print until they
logged off if you used *JOBEND because that would be the end of the
interactive job. If you used *FILEEND the MAPICS program must be holding
the printer file open even after the acknowledgement is printed or perhaps a
shared open. As a side note, you don't need to recompile the printer file
and the program to change the SCHEDULE parameter for the printer file.
Just use the CHGPRTF command and change whatever printer parameters you
desire. Better yet, use the MAPICS printer overrides on the CAS menus.

Subject: I have broken COM AMBFMPFP (acknowledgments) - need ideas to fix

In our custom library I made a change to printer file AMBFMPFP compiled
with Schedule(*FILEEND).
 Recompiled RPG program.

Works great when submitted using option 6 (Print Acknowledgements) but
printer
file does not go to 'RDY' status when requested print occurs when exiting
new order/order maintenance.

When user signs off, acknowledgements print. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bonnie Lokenvitz
