Myself, I use the freeware utility WRKDBF a lot - download it from www.wrkdbf.com . I like it a LOT better than DFU. Dave Shaw MAPICS-L Moderator Rauch Industries, Inc. Quite a few topics flowing today on the ol' list. At the risk of overload, I need some help on a totally new topic. I need to edit some incorrect data in the IMHIST file - it does NOT involve a key field in the physical file. When I go into DFU, I get that lovely message "The retrieved record contains invalid data.", and of course I can't see or change the field I need to fix. I have neither the time nor the talent to write an edit program from scratch. Does anyone have one written that they'd be willing to "lend" to me. We're on Rel 6, but I don't think that the IMHIST file has changed much over the years... Does anyone have another solution to DFU besides some sort of RPG-written edit program? Maybe the SQL statements needed?
