The basic process is to call PSXEMP1R for each field in error, then call PSXSPM4C with an escape message to inform the Integrator object that there was a problem. The Integrator will then create an Errors tab containing the fields in error and a list of the error messages your trigger program sent back. btw, I was able to rewrite (not convert) the trigger program as an ILE RPG program, so I could take advantage of the built-in functions, procedures, etc.. The message ID, file, data, etc. is loaded in parms W1MSID, W#MSFN respectively. These are then used in subroutine XXEMP1 to call PSXEMP1R - The Mapics Edit Message Processor. -----Original Message----- From: Neely, Chris (CAG-PG) [mailto:Chris.Neely@poultry.com] Sent: Wednesday, September 11, 2002 10:25 AM To: 'mapics-l@midrange.com' Subject: RE: Editing input on Custom objects I have been using the sample USRMTIOR. I guess my question is where in that code do I add my code to send my message back to the user's screen in the Browser? Do I update some positions in the communications data area with my message ID or message text? Thanks for any help
