RE: Disk space required for an environment update

The CLRPFM would be on the TEST environment which will be deleted during the
update.  We would just be doing this to free up some DASD prior to the
update.

The users will be unable to re-print any invoices from the date you clear
the
history files.  You will also have error messages and abnormal ends that
will
give your users the perception that the database if flaky.  I believe there
would also be hanging records that can cause problems during the
pick/pack/ship/invoice runs and abnormal ends.  I strongly suggest you DO
NOT
just do a clrpfm on those history files.  I believe someone on this board
has
written some programs that run faster than the MAPICS programs to remove COM
orders, but in a logical, selected way.  I just don't remember who did it.
Dale, do you remember who it was?

Always use extreme caution when dealing with the COM files or you will
regret it
later, believe me.
