[ Converted text/html to text/plain ] I agree with Konrad that this doesn't seem to have anything to do with the controlled warehouse. Sounds like the warehouse is triggering work orders based on end-item shortages - or maybe going below minimums? If the latter, then the reorder report might be the answer for you. You can do it really simply by using a safety stock quantity or more sophisticated using the built-in formulas (order point, order quantity, etc.). The calculations are explained in the manual. Be aware that the reorder report is not time-phased, that is, it will not tell you when something is needed. When the quantity available drops below the trigger level (order point plus safety stock), the item pops onto the report. To get timing, you'll need MRP and then you'll have to drive MRP with a forecast or orders or manually entered and managed "requirements" - a whole different ball game. You mentioned "tell each cell what's needed" - with an uncontrolled warehouse, stuff is just "there" - all in one warhouse and not identified to locations. With the controlled warehouse, you can track items by location which can give you cell identification if there's a one-to-one relationship (an item is made in only one cell). A pretty simply QUERY could give you recommendations based on qty on hand compared to order point (or zero quantity) sorted by location (cell). Good luck.
