Purchasing API's

Does anyone have any experience using the API's listed in the back of the
Purchasing User's Guide?  (Appendix D)

I was thinking of using them to aid in writing some PO's I need to write.
I'm looking at AMIAI01R, AMIAI02R, AMIAI04R, AMIAI10R, AM6AI00R and
AM6AI01R.

Am I safe using these or should I just go ahead and write all of the code
myself?

I wasn't thinking much of it until I saw this text in the book:

"These APIs are provided to support internal processes within MAPICS or MMS
and
Approval. They do not provide full offline load capability nor are they
intended to be
used by user-written modifications."

Um, if that is the case, why document them in the User Guide?

These are all questions I probably already know the answers to.  I'm just
looking for any "gotchas".
