This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] With regards to Konrad's point (which is correct), MDCC's RF menu does use turnaround number, but I will be using a full screen, not the mini-screen offered for RF. The receivers will be checking parts against blueprints pulled up on the thin client, so they will be using a larger screen. Also, I figure I'll have enough problems getting the vendors to ship parts in with the PO# barcoded, let alone getting them to send me a barcoded turnaround number! :) Dale @ Fleetwood Konrad Underkofler <kdunderk@hoshizaki.com> Sent by: mapics-l-admin@midrange.com 07/16/02 01:29 PM Please respond to mapics-l To: "'mapics-l@midrange.com'" <mapics-l@midrange.com> cc: Subject: RE: Receiving products using Scanners We have looked at it too and I think the ISE stuff uses the turnaround number to sync on the PO and line item for their PDA support, that way all you have to do is scan a traveller and type in the item amount. Altho they tend to lose configuration easily we have had pretty good luck with the Symbol CE scanning pdas here. Right now we do the quick receiver "receive all" and hope we got everything!
