Bud,

This is actually very straight forward. There are two KBC BOM files that
contain that information. They are KBOPTA and KBOPTB. You have to join
them and select for all records that have a BOM flag set to YES. The result
of that set is a list of all BOM items in all of your dialogues. Run a
query against that and the output will tell you where the items are used
across all of your dialogues.

The same is true in the open order files. They are different names
obviously, the process is the same.

Happy hunting!

Regards,

Subject: KBC "Where used"

We want to create a "Where Used" cross reference file of Item Numbers for
inquiry purposes. This inquiry would be used for example when we want to
replace an item with another one. A cross reference like this was very
easy in PDM. KBC does not easily lend itself to this because of the rule
structure. I was wondering if anyone else has come up with something to
handle this.
