Actually, the better solution is for MAPICS to allow for Save While
Active.. This is a much bigger requirement.

I just added an enhancement request (via fax) to "Force a backup when
requested".  My description of my problem was this:

If a Backup has been requested - even if someone is signed on to an Inquiry
or
a batch - then I must have wanted a Backup. My proposed solution was to do
whatever it takes to get the backup to run - End Active jobs, Close and
Post
Batches, etc. Any other MAPICS users that have a similar requirement should
also submit this request so that they realize that it is a valid
requirement.
