Sorry. Didn't have time for a lengthy reply earlier and (Mainly to
remember how it worked...).

We create a file out of our batch print of shop packets. Our drawing file
name and plot size are integrated into our Mapics Drawing field. We
include in this file, the drawing number, the printer to be used, and a
Header for the plotted drawing that includes the MAPICS MO#, item number
and description.

We have a PC serving as a plot server on our network. It runs two VB
applications coupled with an Access database. The server was designed to
handle interactive requests submitted by users. It was later adapted to
import and process the batch runs.

The server program opens AutoCad. AutoCad then opens a new drawing,
imports the requested drawing (This handles drawings from previous
revisions) , zooms to extents, selects the correct paper size and plots to
the selected network printer.

Let me know if you'd like more information.

Thanks,
