Jim

I work as a consultant at a site in Harlow, England. I introduced purchase
reqs for non component stock parts (they use MRP for those). Basically the
individual manager of a department raises the Mapics purchase req and then
I've written a query off the Pur. Req file to hive a summary of requisitions
not yet converted into PO's. The Purchasing manager then authorises this
list and a buyer turns the req into a PO. Security can be given to raising
req and/or orders.

Therefore the query print can be selected to just print off reqs without an
order attached.

Works like a dream!!

Good luck

John

Does anyone use requisitions and then create PO's for them? Also, there
used to be a approval step before Rel 4. We are at release 6 and the Web
page refers to a 3rd party product to achieve this. Any thoughts guys and
gals?
