Richard, I have about as many customer doing their own P/R as I have not
doing it. I believe all went to ADP.. Although I have never talked with
them. I believe they have some they have a wide range of options. One of the
nice things about using ADP is unless you are going to keep your current
staff up to date in all the new tax laws. (Pre tax, tax changes etc.) ADP is
the way to go. For a fee! they will even generate all the required reports
that need to be filed. All you have to do is sign and they may be even able
to handle that now.
The one drawback is you just can't make changes on the fly. Employee raises,
or whatever changes.
They have a window when these need to be done. Also if you have a union or
incentive p/r. I am pretty sure that you need to pre-calculate before
sending anything.  I have helped write the interfaces to ADP. I have one
company that we get a file back to post to TEMGEN.
Kinda of wordy but ADP is the one I have had the most luck with, if you are
not going to do it yourself.
