It takes a little bit of up front effort, but what we do is run several extract
programs (queries) at night against the MOTRAN and LABSUM files (and others)
and harvest the information into databases. Then we access those databases
using Microsoft Excel's pivot table/chart and ODBC feature which seems to work
very well for us. You can (and we do) also run simple queries against this
data. Pretty flexible and inexpensive way to do this. Contact me offline if
you'd like some samples.

Regards.

Does anyone know of you use any 3rd party, or internal to MAPICS
applications to provide detailed reporting of things such as production
efficiency, daily production, etc etc

Thanks
