It takes a little bit of up front effort, but what we do is run several extract programs (queries) at night against the MOTRAN and LABSUM files (and others) and harvest the information into databases. Then we access those databases using Microsoft Excel's pivot table/chart and ODBC feature which seems to work very well for us. You can (and we do) also run simple queries against this data. Pretty flexible and inexpensive way to do this. Contact me offline if you'd like some samples. Regards. Thomas C.
