Our plant bells are triggered off of an internal relay in an Intermec 9560
reader. A simple little program allows us to enter the schedule for the
bells (shift start, breaks, lunch, etc). This Intermec device is part of our
DCSI/HighJump data collection network. We also have the Paperless system
implemented here as well. I know of no such feature in the Paperless system
but it would seem to be a no-brainer that it is an immediate requirement for
the product. Hello....ISE & Mapics.....

This is a question that is a mix between MAPICS and the AS/400 (iSeries).
We are coming up live on MDCC (the software application formerly known as
"Paperless"), converting from a Kronos data collection system. The Kronos
system rings buzzers that inform the factory associates that it is break
time, lunch time, start and end of shift.

The problem is that I can't keep the time consistent between the MDCC
terminals (running off the AS/400) and the Kronos system (not attached to
the AS/400).

Does anyone know of an application, device, or other gizmo that would
allow me to ring buzzers from the AS/400? I can't imagine that I am the
only company (I seem to say that a lot) implementing MDCC that need to
ring buzzers.
