My customer (in Aerospace) has the exact same problem... I modified all the Inquiry and Pick/Pack selection programs, along with the "subset" programs to display the User/Line sequence. If the user sequence is not displayed, the MAPICS line sequence is displayed with a code informing the user which field is being displayed. My customer(s) also had a problem only seeing the Customer/Item number on most of those screens so I added a function key to change the view between Customer/Item, Industry Item, APC item and MAPICS Item. The modification is not "live" yet because I keep finding more screens to modify. It is up to about 15-18. FYI, the "view" defaults to however the user is setup in the COM defaults. This makes it so that for Production, Inventory Control personnel will always see the MAPICS item number, as long as they are not setup in COM. Eric A.
