We were a beta site back in the late 70's. For those of you that were using
MAPICS then, do you remember the house calls that IBM made on a frequent basis
just to make sure everything was going fine?
Heat from the 5250 terminals? I remember being surprised when going to work for
CTG in 1988, that Bob Moon still had an old Sys/34 which kept his house warm.
Somehow, I think the power bill must have made heating your house with a SYS/34
 somewhat impractical.

WOW! You guys are making me feel old! I started with MAPICS in 1984 with an
IBM Business Partner when IBM still owned MAPICS and there was no such thing
as ALF!!!!!!! I have worked with roughly 50 different companies running
MAPICS and still have quite a few as clients. Boy, have things changed!

I still have an index card in my day-timer with the required steps to get out
of the System/36 MAPICS Job Queue Restart Loop...anyone remember that! How
well I remember my first MAPICS modification where I was testing at night and
I got into the LOOP. I was there ALL NIGHT LONG trying to get out of it and
had to wait for the support line to get me out of the LOOP the next
morning!!!! The index card with the steps to get out of the loop was like my
American Express card.......I never left home without it!
