Integrated Barcoding Systems Introduces QuikTrac Ò4.5
New Software Solution Extends MAPICS System To the Warehouse or Shop Floor
Without Any Host Modifications
Ann Arbor, Michigan - June 25, 2001 - Integrated Barcoding Systems, a
leading solutions provider of data collection technology and services, today
announced the release of QuikTracÒ 4.5. The new screen integration tool
allows Mapics users to extend their ERP/MRP system out to the warehouse or
shop floor without any modifications to their existing host code or
interfacing into their system's database.
QuikTrac 4.5 allows users to take their Mapics Inventory transaction like
TW, RP, IS, SS, IW RD, and Location Inquiry transactions and map them down
to a wireless fixed or portable data collection device. This functionality
enables users to interact with their Mapics software from a remote location
in real-time, without costly and long-term modifications to the host.
According to Andy Jacobs, president of Integrated Barcoding Systems,
"With the simplicity of QuikTrac, end users can now have their data
collection system up and running in four days or less GUARENTEED.
Previously, the demand for real-time information required users to know a
programming language in order to develop their system and connect it to a
database. Today, all a user needs to know is how to use a mouse and they
can develop or make changes to an existing screen in minutes."
"The implementation of the QuikTrac system is so easy because the Mapics
user's ERP system does all of the work," continued Jacobs. "QuikTrac just
provides a real-time interactive tool to allow them to extend the Inventory
transaction to the floor. QuikTrac does not compete with Mapics Paperless,
but compliments it by providing the wireless Inventory transactions out to
their shop floor. Because this is fast and simple to implement, the total
cost of the solution is a fraction of the cost of other solutions that
requiring special programming. "

presentation, go to www.Integratedbarcoding.com
