Yes!!!!! The conference was fantastic! The sessions on Client Architecture had substantive content, provided real tips and tools! The speaker, Michael Ellis provided much necessary information, and was very willing to follow-up with those he could not help immediately. I think he needs to be more aggressive when attendees lapse into 'bitch-mode' and consume time complaining about things that happened to only them, that's what the Hotline is for! Call them, don't save it for conventions and waste other's time! The COM Pick Pack & Ship was great, the workshop & worksheet concept was good, like to see more of that! I also like how they managed to tell us that was going to be a way of life soon, I merely thought it was an option. (please don't interpret this as an endorsement of COM) Like their move to Web-style technologies (notice how I did not say e-biz, b2b, blah blah yada yada dot-com/dot-gone type stuff!) Personally I think their staggered move makes it easier for mid-sized companies (like where I work) to make the transition without the trauma. Some ERP's change so dramatically that its like implementing a NEW solution. Yes, I know the underlying database is still a plate of monolithic spaghetti!!!!! I think they need to better convey the level of content for sessions, for example, use an icon system, Use a little tie to indicate executive level, a propeller to indicate geek (my level), and another to indicate general, etc. Often the descriptions are not an accurate reflection of level, I have often walked out due to 'false advertising'. This happens both ways, stuff that was to heavy, and stuff that was too light, but either way not what I expected! I think in summary they keep getting better.......... I wonder if there are pics from the Motown show? P.S. - I had a blast in Atlanta, still getting emails/calls from people I offended! :) +--- | This is the MAPICS Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MAPICS-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MAPICS-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MAPICS-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: dshaw@spartan.com +---
