If you have Mapics source, look at AMEC7, Inquiry on Product Structure. I
have used this program (stripping out the screen processes) to build a
version of the workfile PSIISF.

Subject: PSTRUC Blowout file

Hey folks!

I need to create a custom requirements report using the product structure
(PSTRUC) file ASAP. I have not played around too much with this file, and
would like some hints (or, preferably sample source code) on how to attack
the file and extrapolate all the components used on any level. I see that
this can get harry depending on the type of item it is.

For example, my end product (123) has three components (a, b, c). Component
"a" is made up of three components itself (x, y, z). Components "b" & "c"
don't have sub-components. I need to list all the components, as follows:

     Finished Item: 123; Components required: x, y, z, b, c

I realize that multiple reads to the PSTRUCT file is necessary, and I
imagine several imaginative people out there have figured out the best
approach.

And in advance, I thank you!

Patrick
