If the folks at Custom Systems Corporation don't hit the 'enter' key before
I do, I can recommend their COS (COM Off-line Shipment) Interface that works
pretty nice at generating shipment transactions for prepared pick-lists.
The PO850 documents still have to be loaded into MAPICS and the
corresponding orders must still be selected for picking/shipment, but at
least there is the opportunity to close the loop on shipments. Two out of
the three functions can be somewhat automated via EDI processing and the
selection of orders for pick-list print should be pretty straightforward.
Your client will have to supply a few interface programs to get the most
bang for their buck with this package, and I'm not sure how many EDI
software suites that the COS Interface supports (Harbinger, formerly
Premenos, is the popular default) but it can't hurt to look into it.

By the way, if your client is using the MAPICS Electronic Commerce module,
it too is written/supported by Custom Systems.

Please note that I am not affiliated with CSC, just a user.
