I have been looking over the Inventory Questionnaire response for Inventory Transaction updates: Batch Update or Immediate Update. I cannot find any information relating to pros and cons of each type of transaction. We are finishing a conversion from DB2 to XAR5, and are rethinking our procedures. We currently update our XAR5 transactions by batch (which is what we did while on DB2.) The only reason I have to do it in batch is because of past history. The new system is much larger and more capable and should be able to handle immediate interactive updating. Why should I stay with batch updates? Why should I switch?
