At GNP our "shop packets" (including picking lists) were custom (still are, probably, it's just I don't work there anymore). They are typically printed just a few hours before they're needed. The shop packet printers are available to manufacturing 24x7 - they run what they need whenever they want to, and only involve IT people when there's a problem (every day or two, y' know - grin). XAR4 if you're keeping track, although this hasn't changed substantially since MAPICS I was installed in 1985. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jones Steve <SJones@hpproducts.net> To: 'MAPICS-Lmidrangecom' <MAPICS-L@midrange.com> Sent: Thursday, September 30, 1999 1:35 PM Subject: Picking list > Hello everyone, > > I am wondering how other companies print pick lists.
