<<<<<<Hey, y'all! <<<<<<<We recently put on the most recent Cume, HIPER, and DB/2 packages for V4R2. <<<<<<<Since then, every time we start MAPICS we get an odd sequence of messages <<<<<<<starting with MCH4404 "Invalid branch target.", followed by messages about <<<<<<<attempting and failing to spool a service dump, and finally a CPF9999 <<<<<<<"Function check." to GLOREDSC. I believe this is a MAPICS User Interface <<<<<<startup program. We're running XA Release 4, with ACS level SH12955 <<<<<<installed (PTF level 0835). Has anyone else seen this, or have any idea <<<<<<what's causing it? We don't use the MUI, and otherwise MAPICS is working <<<<<<fine, so it's only a minor nuisance to us, but it would be nice if the <<<<<<messages didn't flash up all the time. Thanks in advance! Dave, Yes, I've seen it many times. Sometimes it helps to call program CQRESET in your AMALIB. Beware, that this program will sign you off after running. Mabe you should read the info PTF about MUI. It's called SH12713, which contains important info about XA R4 and MUI. By the way, if you never use MUI, why not rename the STRMUI command ind your AMALIB? Then you disable MUI and you will not have any problems. Best regards Brian B.
