Normally you would just use the command

apt-get install <package> [ <another package> [ ... ] ]

like

apt-get install iseriesaccess

Some package are virtual packages and are not installable by themselves
but gives you the option to choose from several packages to install one
of these.

I don't know the package iseresaccess. I just use tn5250 and am happy
with it.

Perhaps the following command gives you more info:

apt-cache showpkg iseriesaccess

Mihael,

I was excited to see an iseriesaccess package in the repository, but,
unfortunately it is not a package that is installable.

How do I know? Well let's just say, I got to do a fresh install of
iSeries Access for Linux again this morning and not from the repository.
;-)

if you are using repositories and no manual installation then it is very
easy to find out if there is some 5250 software:

apt-cache search 5250
