We should start by commenting about how we connect to the System i using
Linux.
Last year I the official IBM client, but found it annoying to install and
unstable. Tn5250 was better, and I really liked the multitabbed tn5250j,
although it tends to not clean up its threads when closed. In the end I was
more comfortable running Symtrax through Wine.
What are your experiences with terminal emulation on Linux desktops?
P.S.
I think this list is a great idea, and this topic should be a good starting
point. Kudos for all the Linux users out there.
