I use it at home to run Quicken 2000 for my checkbook. Works very well for me. And it's an old version. I just got a new PC and will upgrade to the latest release "just because". Then I'll move Quicken from my old Pentium IV (vintage 2003) to my new i7-920 (wow, what an upgrade!). I don't play many games (solitare is my speed).

Crossover is a commercial product that the developers of WINE have created (I like to think of it as the commercial version of WINE). Crossover allows you to run Windows applications natively in Linux without changing the Windows application. I currently use it to run Internet Explorer 6 for one website that requires IE. I have also used it to run Outlook 2003 for the calendaring aspect, but the email fonts in Outlook 2003 when running in Crossover are terrible (my opinion) and there are other bugs that makes it not super desirable. Each Windows app supported by Crossover is given a ranking of bronze, silver, gold, etc, concerning how well it runs under Crossover. Here is an example of how well Outlook runs:

Crossover is probably most used for gamers (at least those are the apps that seem to get the most attention).
