Our users are using tn5250 to connect and run our back office

render the help screens when using the pc5250/iAccess emulator but does
with the tn5250. Is there different key sequence that produces the
ALT-F1 codes in the tn5250 emulator?

Alt-F1? I would guess pc5250 has that particular combination mapped to the HELP key. tn5250 uses control-h for that.
