Hello James, after some further tests i am almost sure that the main cause
of the "split" is the *WSCST file i've created for handle with spool files >
198 chars.
So using a standard HPT table solves the problem, and also using a *HP4 HPT
Table with the minimum modifications for handle with 198 chars seems works
well the same.
My tests was both on V5R2M0 and V5R4M0 at the lastest PTF Level.
I also have the "bad" Wscst file stored if you want it for any test :-)
Thanks!
Ciao.
Alberto.

Hi to all :-)
I was wondering if there is any update about this thread :-)
I hope so !

Alberto, I am very busy with a project for the next two weeks. I won't
have much time to look at this during that time. I'm inclined to agree
with Scott that something in the Host Print Transform is causing lp5250d
to see End Of File, but I don't know what. I'll do what I can, but I will
be slow to respond for a while.

if you want to understand why that is, there are many good books on
the design of operating systems. please pass them along to redmond
when you're done reading them :)
