I use tn5250 on Windows and don't have any problems with bold. Looking at the screen shot (thanks!) it appears as if you are seeing the 'column separator' attribute. On a colour terminal, the 5250 protocol doubles up some attributes. So DSPATR(HI) becomes the colour white and so on. It works the same in reverse: COLOR(YLW) display column separators. Without looking at the DDS, I can't be certain what attributes are in use. I'm attaching a shot of my display from GO MAIN so you can compare. If that isn't helpful, perhaps we can try working with common DDS to see how your copy renders compared to mine. --buck
