Well folks, I've done almost nothing but work on x5250 for days. And the
result is x5250 version 0.4.0. With this version I believe x5250 is
feature complete with tn5250 0.16.4. Many bugs have been eliminated and
many features added (hopefully not the other way around).

x5250 is not very polished yet, but should do everything tn5250 does (and
a little bit more). Some notable features:

 * Block copy and paste with an auto-align feature
 * Ruler like a real 3487
 * Column separators (either bar or dots configurable)
 * Paste at current mouse position or current cursor position
 * Most things can be customized

Notable missing features:

 * keyboard remapping (holding off on this until after the 0.5 release)

Unfortunately, there are still some things that don't work.
Internationalization is not ready (though some work has been done) and
there are still cases of screen flicker. On very old and slow hardware
(like the 486 laptop I develop on) events can be received out of order
causing keystrokes to be out of sync. And pasting into some applications
(like open office) doesn't work.

That said, x5250 works well enough to use everyday. The 0.4 series is for
fleshing out any bugs before reaching the first milestone, version 0.5. I
would appreciate anyone who uses x5250 and finds problem to post them
here.
