Hmmmm... I have no idea.. it doesn't do that for me. Maybe you should write a script that does this: #!/bin/sh eval SAVETERM=`echo $TERM` export TERM=5250 tn5250 $@ export TERM=$SAVETERM then run that script instead of running tn5250 directly.
