Thank you for the reference to that documentation but I don't think it answered my question. I appologize for not being more specific. I am running tn5250 in console mode, not in X. In fact, what I would like to do is change the default shell of the user to tn5250 which I have done successfully. This stops them from having any access to a regular shell such as zsh, bash, tcsh, etc. The documentation talks about xterm and where to change the mappings if you are using it, but I am not using xterm. Does this mean my mapping changes need to happen in /etc/termcap or /etc/inputrc? -----Original Message----- From: Egan, Matt B. Good Luck HTH Matt I am using RedHat 6.0 with a minimal install for use only as terminals to our AS400. I have installed TN5250 and it works great, but I need to change a few key mappings. Before they will allow this Linux installation to be implemented, I have to make the key mappings as close to Client Access defaults as possible. Specifically the RESET and ATTENTION key sequences. Currently these are set to the defaults, c-r and c-a respectively. I need to change the resent sequence to be just the ESC key and the ATTENTION sequence to be just the left CTRL key. Can someone point me in the right direction here? What keymap files need to be edited? Do I have to edit the source and recompile? Is there a HOWTO document that may help with this? Thanks in advance for the help.
