Hi all First off, thanks Carey for the missing 'root' on the cvs checkout - tn5250 downloaded, built and installed fine. Now onto the problem. I mentioned in the last email that my home box doesn't show the full 27x132 screen. It's still doing the same with the latest cvs, but the earlier version still works fine at work. I'm assuming this will be some environment problem, rather than anything specific to tn5250. If I drop the font_80 and font_132 lines from .tn5250rc the window (albeit small[1]) displays at 24x80 and 27x132 as expected. If .tn5250rc has the font lines, then all I get is a 27x113 display, which can be dragged out to the correct size (so the data is there). Dropping back to 24x80 and back again loses the resized settings, so it's back to just 113 again. At first I thought it was using too big a font, as I run at a higher resolution at work, and 8x13 needs more width than my home 1024x768 display. Unfortunately it's still a problem even with 6x12, which fits easily. Can anyone shed some light on what (probably obvious) thing I'm missing here. Work box is Mandrake 7.1, home is Debian 2.2 (unstable) Regards, Martin [1] A Ctrl+Button2 to get medium font gives a reasonable compromise - 27x132 is fine, but I'm after a bigger 24x80 window to go with it. .tn5250rc settings of font_80 = 9x15 and font_132 = 8x13 are spot on for a 1158x864 display. == martin@dbg400.net / jamaro@firstlinux.net http://www.dbg400.net - Free AS/400 software for setting up test environments.
