I haven't worked on gnome-5250, per se, in some time. In any case, I've been
the only one to ever really work on it.

When I've gotten the chance to work on it, I've been trying to obsolete it.
The idea was to perfect the Python bindings in tn5250, add Python bindings
for the Gtk5250Terminal widget (compatible with pygtk/pygnome), then you
could script all sorts of CA-like features in a very high level language
with built in support for the 5250 data stream and Gnome.

As for status, the Python bindings were half rewritten in tn5250 (the original
bindings were hokey and dependent on particular versions of Python and SWIG
being installed, not to mention different config options).

Small patches should be sent to the list, regardless of whose going to handle
things. I don't have much time lately, as you may have noticed, but I'm
pretty interested on this front (I'd like to have a complete Client Access
replacement on Linux).

I'm hoping a bit of my time is freed up in about a month, then I'd like
to work on this again.
