Patrick,

I just built this 2 days ago on a debian 2.2 Rev 3 machine. I needed the
libglib1.2-dev package to get /usr/lib/libglib.so, this is from GTK/Gnome
development libraries. I also got the Python-dev stuff but --with-python
still had errors on debian, so I dropped the python support. I hope this
helps. Maybe you could document what you did to build on a SuSE and I can
document the build for Debian and see if we can't put the info on the web
page somewhere.
