Virtual devices (WAS:Re:lp5250d problem?)

1. You can turn off the autoconf feature on the AS/400 (if you don't need it) 
and 
vary off and then delete those devices. 
2. Alternatively, if there are specific users that sign on on those devices you 
can change their user
profile parameter INITIAL PROGRAM to *NONE and the INITIAL MENU to *SIGNOFF
3. you can assign those devices to another subsystem (other than QINTER - see 
the wrksbsd command for details)
and then change the subsystems MAXJOBS parameter to 0 - this will effectively 
disable those terminals
