You should be able to print using AFPDS, which LPD supports, but sending IPDS data to a PC is unsupported. ____________________________________ Kurt Schroeder AS/400 SupportLine Print phone: T/L 8-456-6177 or 507-286-6177 fax: T/L 8-456-6221 or 507-253-6221 e-mail: kschroe@us.ibm.com Sean Porterfield <sporter@bestdist.com> on 07-24-2000 10:14:14 AM Please respond to LINUX5250@midrange.com To: "linux5250@midrange.com" <linux5250@midrange.com> cc: Subject: AFP/IPDS Anyone know if it's possible to create an IPDS printer attached to a PC? I want to print overlays on my HP4000 that is connected to a network PC. Right now, I'm using lp5250d to print using lpr (which actually sends it back to the network since the printer is on someone else's PC being shared from Windows.) I can't send overlays to it, though, because the AS/400 puts the file back on hold in the OUTQ.
