Correct. The _program_ doesn't always get control returned (say when you page backwards in an expanding subfile), but the paging is still handled by OS/400. The controller/terminal is only aware of the page being displayed. Back to the original question: yes, I've used tn5250 with all types of subfiles, and panel group lists, and all sorts of pageable displays. What is the problem exactly? -- Paul ______________________________ Reply Separator _________________________________ Subject: Re: TN5250 & Sub Files Can Do? Author: Scott Klement <klemscot@klements.com> at INTERNET Date: 2000-04-17 11:56 pm Hi Ron, I'm not TOTALLY sure what you mean... I'm able to run programs that use both "page-at-a-time" subfiles as well as "preload-everything" subfiles. They work fine in tn5250... But... As far as I know, the AS/400 does the paging, and just sends the updated screen image to the terminal (be it tn5250 or otherwise). I'm sure Mike or Jay will correct me if I'm wrong :) So, is that what you're asking? On Mon, 17 Apr 2000, Ron C.
