You can download from: http://cvs.cleveland.lug.net/downloads/tn5250/tn5250-0.15.7.tar.gz Frankly, it's been way too long for a release, one should have been done about halfway through the changes list below: Changes: - Some xterm problems. - Some X windows keymap problems. - xt5250 script now starts xterm as 80 cols x 25 lines. (Previously used default, typically 24 lines, then resized terminal if it could.) - Lots of different little printing support issues, including core dump, response code, and not providing error message for response code. Printing patch from Mike Madore applied. - New keyboard handler enabled by default, bug fixed with keyboard handler PgDn handling, fixed DEL, ESC DEL = INS problems. (Note: If you have problems with it, you can put --enable-old-keys on the ./configure command line to use the old keyboard handler.) - Hack around weird keys received before first keypress, likely a ncurses4 bug. (This only affects new keyboard handler - old one has had hack for some time.) - FER (Field Exit Required) state implemented, but not tested. Should work, I think, maybe, maybe not :) In other words, you should now be able to enter the last character in a FER field, and Field Exit won't clear the field. - Frank Richter's cursor-position-on-status-line patch. - Use TERM environment variable to determine whether we are running in an xterm. Old method much to obfuscated and sometimes unpredictable. This should fix some resizing issues. This stuff was dated 01/17/2000 - I don't think it was ever released other than CVS (hey, it's 2AM and I've gotta work to-morrow - I can be lazy): - Translation maps modularized. Care taken to break asdbget patch :) I'll fix asdbget and release 0.2 to-morrow evening. - Clear pending insert flag on Clear Unit or Clear Unit Alternate commands. Fix might help cursor position problems noted by people. - Field Exit shouldn't null-out sign in signed number fields. - Home key when already in home position not sending Record Backspace function to AS/400 in certain cases. I think there are a few reported bugs which haven't been resolved, but I'll go over open issues more carefully to-morrow - in any case, this release is certainly needed.
