Jason asked:
Would this pseudo-code be the "correct" implementation?
when Home is pressed:
-- This part is not in spec.
if currently in field
if not at beginning of field
move to beginning of field
return to caller
endif
endif
-- The rest is in the spec.
if at home position
send record backspace
return to caller
endif
move to home position
return to caller
My understanding of 'normal' behaviour:
When the display unlocks for a read, the cursor location is the home
position, wherever it happens to be. If the user presses the Home
key:
if the cursor is not at the home position
move the cursor to the home position
else
send the Home CA (CF?) key to the host
endif
There is no facility in normal 5250-land to move the cursor to the
start of a field using the Home key; the back-tab key does this
instead.
