I've done pretty much everything I'm going to do in 0.15.x for new features,
it's about time to get the GTK+/Gnome stuff working. That being said, I'd
like to stabilize 0.15.x and release a 0.16.0 soon.

This means that help in QA testing and submitting bug reports is greatly
appreciated at this point, and (unlike some development releases) I don't have
any excuses about how the emulator *should* handle that :) It also
means you get many karma points for downloading 0.15.6 and using it by default
when connecting to a host :)

This also means you should resubmit any outstanding bugs which have not been
resolved. For the most part, I consider all prior issues closed due to the
extent of work in 0.15.x, but I certainly expect there to be a few more issues.

I don't forsee any major changes to the tn5250 package required to get the
GUI front-end working - indeed, it's designed so that wouldn't be necessary.
I also don't see any major changes (but some minor ones) for getting scripting
support in Perl and Scheme working. I think I can work on these during the
stable series.

I'd also like to solicit vict^H^H^H^Hvolunteers who know something about Gnome
and GTK+ to help, and the possibility exists for a Qt/KDE front-end, if someone
would like to volunteer for that. The Gnome/GTK+ stuff will get done if no-one
volunteers, the KDE stuff will not.

Further into the future, I'd like to have someone maintain the Windows port
(based on the GTK+ front end) when it becomes available. I don't have the
tools, time, and machine in one place at one time often enough to do so very
well.
