Make sure you're using the xt5250 script to start a new xterm.  If the font
is too large, you can edit the xt5250 script and put '-fn fixed' in there to
force it to use the 'fixed' font.  If that is still too large, you can either
tweak your X server (I forget how, but there's a way to tell it how to scale
fonts or something like that), or you can pick another font from the output
of 'xfontls'.  Just don't pick wingdings :)
