Hello, all: I've just completed an interview with Peter Martin from the AS/400 weekly "Insider Weekly" regarding Linux and the AS/400. (Mike referred him to me) He posed some very interesting questions -- some of them very challenging for me to answer since they required a step back and a look at the bigger picture about Linux and AS/400 integration, whereas I'm typically just worried about "getting the damn emulator to work right." Also questions about how AS/400 end-users would see Linux which somewhat stumped me. I talked a lot about the emulator project, and mentioned some other projects, and fudged out some answers on "where we plan to be in the future." Hopefully I didn't sound too bad ;) So I'd like to ask a few questions to satisfy my own curiosity: The first one is somewhat of a poll: What _do_ you use Linux for, specifically with how it relates to the AS/400? The next is for the people who have implemented Linux+tn5250 emulator for end-users and desktop systems -- how has that been received overall (be honest) - by people with no technical savvy specifically. The last two questions, Peter asked directly: What is the biggest drawback of using the 5250 emulator on Linux? What is the biggest benefit of using the 5250 emulator on Linux? Wake up all you quiet people out there ;) Thanks in advance, -Jay 'Eraserhead' Felice +--- | This is the LINUX5250 Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to LINUX5250@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to LINUX5250-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to LINUX5250-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
