AW: Speed up Java on i

To clarify:

I changed it from single requests to a server solutions with a dataq. The
dataq will be created only once a job.
This gave me a positive result, but still too less.

Core dates:
Box: IBM i9, single core, 32 MB mem, V7R4
Java: JVM Java 8SE 32 bits
Code-Pics: 500 jpg / 90 sec. on IBM i vs. external webservice = 500
jpg / 35 sec.

Is this a pure Java solution, or are you invoking Java from RPG for
instance?

In the past, I've found pure Java to be faster than trying to invoke from
RPG.

What OS version? What Java version? 32/64 bit?

Have you tried to determine where the time is being spent?
