I have a Java program which uses java persistence APIs to run SQL queries. After upgrading i5 OS to V7R3 this program started throwing an exception:

Internal Exception: com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCSQLSyntaxErrorException: [SQL0204] XFRCTL00 in SYSMONDB$ type *FILE not found.
Error Code: -204
Call: SELECT XFRCTRLKEY, DESCRIPTION, FILEREGEX, IFSPATH, MONITORXFR, UPDTMSP, XFRID, XFRSENDRCV, XFRTYPE FROM XFRCTL00
Query: ReadAllQuery(name="XfrctlSelection.selectAll" referenceClass=XfrctlSelection sql="SELECT XFRCTRLKEY, DESCRIPTION, FILEREGEX, IFSPATH, MONITORXFR, UPDTMSP, XFRID, XFRSENDRCV, XFRTYPE FROM XFRCTL00")

The only thing which changed was the level of the System I operating system.

The table XFRCTL00 does exist in library SYSMONDB$. The table is not damaged or corrupt. *PUBLIC has full rights so I don't think it is a authorities problem.

I updated JTTools to 9.4 (from 8.4) but that didn't help.

Has anyone seen this or a similar problem after upgrading to V7R3.
