You've never run in to issues with IPV6 or DNS lookups not responding ?

You must not have worked as a software vendor with many different config scenarios before.

And as for the 32-bit JVM it's always been faster than the 64-bit one at startup.

BTW: Who supports your app besides you ? Just curious.
