The boss just proposed what sounds like a wonderful idea to me:

Since our biggest problem in setting up Tomcat seems to be figuring out
where Java (and specifically, the version we need for Tomcat) lives on a
particular box (we currently expect it to be in
/QIBM/PRODDATA/JAVA400/JDK16, which isn't always where it really is),
why not automatically figure out where it is?

But that raises the question of how that might be accomplished.

Anybody have any ideas?
