"These tables and views exist in schemas QSYS and QSYS2."
"These views exist in schema SYSIBM."

Following the links at the bottom of the page to detailed information,
namely the names and locations of the catalog views...

As for authority, they should all be *PUBLIC *USE, as far as i know.

That page tells me a great deal about DB2 catalogs. Except where to find
them in the file system, and how to check authorities on them.
